COVID HUD Impacts

COVID-19 Impacts on HUD

As the COVID-19 situation continues, we are aware of the many scenarios that could affect HUD.  We will use this page to collect information and resources relevant to HUD and update it as information becomes available.

Currently, HUD will continue to accept applications and process them based on staff availability and resources. Partner’s team will continue providing all scopes of work at this time, including CNAs, environmental, asbestos, radon, LBP, etc. We are monitoring restrictions set by each state regarding travel and site access for assessments. We are prepared to strategize and provide solutions for each limitation on a case-by-case basis.

  • Regarding altered site visits:
    • HUD MAP has issued limited guidance but has indicated sites under 10 years in age can have augmented assessments performed and those older than 10 years will be addressed on an as-needed basis.
    • HMAC is in communications with HUD LEAN to work through altered approaches of site visits and Partner will support them with solutions as needed.
  • Regarding data gaps in reports:
    • Due to agency and other regulatory closures, it is possible that some reports will have data gaps. HUD will expect the gaps to be rectified prior to closing and at this time, we do not expect issues or delays with meeting this requirement.

Check out this chart for more information on Partner’s approach to alternative site inspections for multifamily and LEAN healthcare.

Virtual Site Assessments for COVID-19 Related Access Limitations

Partner offers virtual site assessments for regions where access may be restricted, or for certain facilities where interior access may be limited to protect occupants (ex. senior living facilities). Partner can work with the client to conduct a video-call inspection (ex Facetime, WhatsApp or Zoom), or take specific interior photos. Check out a video of how this works!
